Hi, this is probably in the wrong place, you're welcome to move it.
I've captured a video and all but am not a ripper (but will be one day).

Since I live in South Africa (..currently; might be off to the UK end of the year), I want to promote for South Africa (you have no SA videos here - except Seether did originate from SA - not that they are any good).
So I thought I'd upload the video.
The video is "The Parlotones - Colourful", never heard of them (they are South African you know!!)? Give it a shot.

Here's the link (sorry, file is split up in an archive - 'excellent' internet connection I have):
http://www.4shared.com/dir/3876135/c68fcc4/The_Parlotones_-_Colourful.html

So VideoPimp - there are people out there who can rip (but it's difficult to get the resources - or rather it's expensive here in SA).

It's a good song, worth the download.
Hoping you don't delete this thread...at least you'll know I can be a ripper with no hassle - and I will, if I get the opportunity.

Ugh, xvid.

Daniel, I'd try encoding that video as an MPG since thats the format Videopimp use. It should also take the file size down a bit.

Good to see people who want to help VP out though!

Slow? must be a bad day. i even tested after the upload if it's working and it was fine. (first click the file, then 'go' button on next page and then on the download page you see a 'download file' link.) i've downloaded before from the site with no hassle. The file is smaller than what it would be if i made it VCD. anycase, it's a higher resolution than VCD, and i only had 128kbps audio and didnt want to re-encode. well, i tried...
