Ok want your favourite video re-released in XViD or upcoming video done in XViD.
Request it here to make it easy for me and other rippers.

Include Artist, Song, Time of airing (week of rage, bensta has a good back catalogue)

And check http://channelv.com.au/V/Playlist.aspx I cap most Night Shifts and some Custom Playlists to get a different variety of music.

Also some old releases may not be possible as I've deleted it or captured with old card and terrible quality or from MTV/Vh1 (Terrible resolution 544x576)

I have last weeks rage Friday October 3rd from start to 5am, The week before as well was capped September 26th from start to 9am but doesn't seem to work.
If I can get that capture to work properly I could release videos from that week too.

You are in luck I think i may have all of them. Though I do remember deleting some weeks of rage let's just hope some of those are not on that. And that IVTC thing I'm still having trouble with. But I have found that most american videos i've tested look good at 25fps as they are only particially interlaced, some videos look like there flicking and really shit are those that should be used with IVTC I think (I maybe wrong about this).

How small of a file size are your caps? 200 GB isn't that much of caps...or shouldn't be, unless we are now capping at some smaller resolution/format? Last time I capped something, it was a few gigs for a few minutes of video...

Depends on hardware and method of capturing. Since nobody here has identical setups, AFAIK, filesizes will vary a lot across the board. Also, if anybody needs help with IVTC, drop me a line on IRC. I know a decent amount about it and will likely be able to clear up some common misunderstandings.

Yeah for me with Uncompressed or Huffy it was 1GB per 1 minute of video.

So we capture the transport stream (same quality as broadcast)
ABC1 has a fairly low bitrate 4-5mpbs we can fit about an hour of rage in about 2gb of space.

(Those are estimates I'll get the exact figures when I'm home next)

Yeah that's right beats the 3-4gb considering that would be compressed anyway.

I didn't cap the AFI video since I'm away, but yeah that's the deal with custom playlist and Night Shift.
There's always some videos that are hardly ever played or seen.

I'll keep an out for AFI, I've also got heaps and heaps of Metal videos from 2 weeks ago could release loads of XViDs from there.

Sweet; shame they got rid of Metal on [V], although there appears to be a similar show premiering this Sunday from what I read on [V]'s message boards, if I read correctly.

Actually several of us did have near identical setups (ie 8500dv cards) Me, Rainie, & AV had them all at the same time before. :D
