Some help for a noob :P

Hi gang, i will try to make my question the most clear possible and maybe scuse for my bad english :\

I own a WinTV PVR-150 card thats come with wintv 2000 and other lite soft thats make a good job. but i have 2 question about this.

- I want to make vidz like videopimp so my first question is: wich codec and spec use to make our vidz ?

- My other question is: do you know a great soft thats capture video straith from my WinTV PVR-150 and burn it directly to a DVD5 or a DVD9 (i mean 4.7go dvd and 8.xx Go dvd) like a home dvd recorder (like vhs) do. if doesnt directly burn maybe easy convert to dvd5 or dvd9 format (original dvd structure with video_ts and audio_ts)
