Q: Just wanted to know what I need to do to serve on #videopimp?


A: I'm a relatively new server, so the stuff is pretty new to mind. I will go through what i did.

1) Have at least 50 (it used to be 30, we've changed this) videopimp videos
2) Read and agree to comply with http://www.videopimp.org/terms , please note: By serving for videopimp you agree not to run a server anywhere else!
3) Make sure all your videos are named as they are in the release list

Please note, currently no versions of the I**ision script support mIRC higher than version 6.12
4) Install a script that makes it nice and easy for you, majority of us use I**ision
5) Follow the steps in the following server tutorial: http://www.vampyrezkave.com/al/server/tutorial.html
6) Disable the SERVER AD FOR THE MOMENT!

Please note, currently no versions of the I**ision script support mIRC higher than version 6.12
7) Join #videopimp.org on Efnet
8) Get an OP that is online to check over your server
9) Once the man says you can, change the settings over to #videopimp, sit back, enable the ad and serve

10) make sure you are only serving in #videopimp, or you will loose your dump access.

It may seem to work ok, but the serving option does not function.
You may get a bundled version of mIRC 6.12 and I**ision at the link above

Or if you just desire mIRC 6.12 you can search for Old Versions in google or use Oldversion.Com

Remove Underscores from Your Sends
To keep your server from sending underscores, do the following. You right click on yourself, and send yourself a file. You then deselect the fill spaces check box. Then click send, to send the file. As soon as it starts, you can cancel it. This is all you need to do!
