burning
ok so I have an amd400 k6/2 with 128 megs ram, a random 20 gig drive and winxp. I should be able to burn at 12x no problem and that takes what about 6 min or so right? well for some reason its taking over an hour. and some times it fails the burn. is this due to xp, if so ill find 2k and put that on there later
ok I did a speed test, it drops down to 1.4x, I changed the ide cable. both are running at udm2. so I dont get it. I burned before on this pc at 12x no problems but then it was running 98. but that install was soo fucked up from the previos owner/his kids I said screw it. and at the time of install only had xp on hand
xp on a 400mhz box w/ only 128 ram? can't you see the bottleneck there oxy?

I figured as much. but to go as slow as 1.5 to 2.3x on a speed test with nero, didn't think itd be that bad. oh well finaly got my ass to get 2k/98se again.
