Portuguese telepac users banned!!!

Hi.
When i try to enter #videopimp i get this ban message:
VideoPimp sets mode: +b *!*@*.dsl.telepac.pt
strtb was kicked by Gumbo (banned:Cyber Cafe Banned - Go buy a FUCKING PC YOU FUCKING LAMER!)

Looking at the first line ".dsl.telepac.pt", I believe it applies to all users whose dns name ends in ".dsl.telepac.pt". If I'm wright, this means that all portuguese users whose ISP is telepac are banned.

So, I would like you guys to fix this, because telepac is the major portuguese ISP and you are banning lots of people.

I don't think you need this, but I'll leave my info anyway:

Except there are users from cyber cafe's in your country that use said ISP. I had a kid from a cyber cafe, he openly admitted it, that would waste server's bandwidth downloading a clip, so he could watch it once and delete it. If that is all folks are gonna do, go head over to ******* and watch up.

The reason why its wild carded is the said user, changed his ident several times to evade a ban, as well as reconnect, which gave him a new hostmask. Same reason why most ISP bans are set. One or two asshole users, who think they just MUST EVADE A BAN.

I'm not gonna remove it, maybe sweet talk serch or asspin.

So this means I'm cut off from videopimp. How sad...

Do you think there is any way around this?
I was thinking about using a proxy server to connect myself - this way my IP would not be an IP from my ISP but instead the one from the proxy server. Do you think it will work?
