Forwarding IRC Ports

Which ports does IRC use? My downloads usually never pass 20KB/s and was hoping to improve speeds. Thanks.

the download speed isn't involved with port forwarding, the fact that you're downloading around 20 KB/s is beacuse most of the servers are using their home connections, adsl/cable which speeds are around 20-50-ish KB/s.
If you want to download you would have to use xdcc's but they don't have just a few videos up beacuse of the limited space.
