Austrian Girl Needs Help to connect to VideoPimp!

Hi,

I live in Austria and since almost 2 (or even more) years I try to connect to VideoPimp.

The reason why is --> because VideoPimp has the biggest offer of Goo Goo Dolls Videos I've ever seen --> but everything I try, I can't connect.

I do exactly what's required --> but it doesn't work.

You must know, as a GGD Fan it's hard to find Videos from my favorites Band and I would really love to connect to VideoPimp --> but maybe (just an idea of mine) why don't you upload the Videos to a Torrent Search also (like TorrentSpy) --> so could more people outside the US have the chance to download your videos!

I would really much appreciate it, but anyways it's just an idea!

try http://www.videopimp.org/help.php again.. the admin VampYre doesnt want to use torrents because of the lack of server funding.. read more here.. you can also request goo goo dolls videos at download requests, request videos from http://www.videopimp.org/releases.php if your irc still doesnt work.. hope these will help..

As you said you can't connect. Means you can't connect to IRC?

Hi Piano,

well my Problem starts with as I am from Austria I have to download an other (different) IRC Version from the Servers.

I try to follow the Steps as shown in Video Pimp Help as best as I can --> but everytime I try, I am unable to connect --> it doesn't work out for me and I don't know why!

Sad to read that VampYre doesn't want to use torrents, because foreign country unable to connect to IRC.

Maybe someday she will use them!

#2 LOTS of other foreign countries are able to connect to irc

however #3 I love the band Dogstar

try typing /server irc.efnet.nl or /server irc.efnet.pl in your IRC client then just /join #videopimp and you're there

what IRC client are you using exacly ?

IRC is easy and you can use EFnet from Austria. Others do. Please post your actual error msgs so we can help.

And Torrents just attract all kinds of unwanted attention. We have plenty of ways of getting the videos. If you are too lazy] to bother with IRC (as most folks are) then too bad.

I am not lazy --> why should I --> or better why would I try to connect to Videopimp for more then 2 years now.

But it's kind of frustrating if you try and try and nothing works.

To register myself in this Forum was my last try to connect to Videopimp --> maybe I make a terrible mistake and I am unable to find out what I am doing wrong myself?

Sometimes I really hate to be an austrian girl --> it's like with AOL if you are from outside the US you are unable to view videos --> and sometimes it feel the same way with Videopimp to me.

I need some Cofe and Chocolate now or I am getting crazy!!

I am using the client from the Videopimp Site http://www.mirc.com/ I make everything as described in the Videopimp Help Tutorial but everytime it gets to #videopimp --> I can't connect.

I don't know why or what I am doing wrong but I've been trying to connect to Videopimp for years now and no matter how hard I try, I am unable to connect.

Means that you can able to connect to the IRC server but not the #videopimp channel.

Seriously, do a screenshot (print screen button on your keyboard and press Ctrl + v on Microsoft Paint if you're using Windows) and post it here.

When everytime you can't able to connect to something, there is a message. We really needed that to help you.

Again, chill. We are here to help you but you have to do the steps.
