VideoPimp wants You, Rippers / Servers Wanted

It usually is the other way around but this time VideoPimp is looking for You, expierienced rippers and people that think they can be rippers just not there yet. If you've got digital tv and some computer based knowledge and want to be a part of VideoPimp and pimp out all the best music videos / live sets and unknown to wider public bands here is your chance.

You know it wouldn't be possible to get so much videos out without the servers, if your computer is hooked up to decent dsl/cable and is runnin almost 24/7... well that's pretty much all that is requiered... it's easy, isn't it ?

Goliath, you're back! Yeah, i had some downtime too.

Maybe D4v3 can help us set up ripping (I dont think my comp is fast enough tho). If only my ADSL2+ connection was kinda decent i'd serve. Going to 1.5mbit ADSL soon tho, so maybe then.

Okay, i'm just getting started on this. My parents have just recently cut of our cable so i would only be able to get music from rage and some live performances on rove and some live shows on ABC2. I've just recently bought a new computer and i have digitail tv. The whole new entertainment system is worth about $6,000. Just a thought i need some help on the process to ripp a video and programs and software needed to set myself up to even be worthy. If i get the whole process i will ripp videos, just need help to get the ball rolling.

OH YES... IM BACK TOO! Got my Foxtel back on... so have my 5 music channels back again!

Have just capped 2 of the latest Silverchair vids which will be live soon, just gotta wait to see about a tag... hrm...

Well, it's nice to know an Aussie ripper is back and another is willing to help.

As for me, I'd love to start serving videos; I only have two problems: I am currently at a lack of hard drive space, and, well, I'm not sure if I can leave my computer on 24/7. Once I get a new hard drive, I might re-consider.

How much space do you have? Videopimp requires you to serve 50(?) videos during your trial as a server... so while you serve your trial, you'll have that time to get a new drive. Also, don't think you're required to serve 24/7.

D4v3!!! What an Aussie re-union! Will you be back into ripping soon?! I'd like to get this stupid net connection sorted out (ie, off Tel$tra and stable) then we'll see how I go.
5 channels; [v], Max, CMC, VH1 and MTV? It'd be great if you had a choice of them (as well as ABC and ABC2).

Yeah all of those channels, plus [V]2... and yeah, back into ripping. Have the 2 latest chair vids encoded already, and starting to keep an eye out on what's on and when!
