Yeah but its an Epiphone version of it. Costs less than a hundred US dollars. And the pickup has little sustain, and also chokes when too much distortion is dialed at the amp. Btw i use a Laney 20W. What amp do you use?

Really? Maybe it is the amp? I use a Marshall 2203KK(Kerry King from Slayers Sig) and a Ibanez IBZ10G(only 10 watt practice amp) for when I don't want to wake the neighbours

Try that or even bring to your local music store and ask to preview their amps. At least there you know they have everything set up correctly, you friend might have a bad tube or the toner is off or whatever, you know? Best bet is to go to the source(not the corp chain store but yeah LoL)
