I'm in Iraq, and i get satallite internet through a server based in New Hampshire. For a few months now, my Videopimp worked fine, but now when i log in, it wont allow me to connect to users and access their files. WTF?!
Yeah the DCC setting are fine. I just get the "Unable to connect" BS every time i try a DCC chat with someone. I haven't a clue why it would do this.
Check with your ISP, more than likely its the overall lagg between the connections. You will have a high ping compared to others, so that is quite easily the issue. You make it sound like its something we have changed on our side. Which it obviously isn't.
Thru a 3rd party DNS type site. I cannot ping your IP. I see you have multiple firewalls on your side as well, which could interfere with IRC. You are using Skyvision as your ISP which is based out of England, not New Hampshire. Your IP does not have a correct RDNS setup. And the ZONE files for it, are messed up. All kinds of issues.
Are you connecting from a Military base or such?

I am, the only reason for concern is that it worked fine for months, then just stopped completely, and i havent changed any settings on my side. My internet, while not fast, has always been sufficient to connect to anything else stateside. I also had a problem with getting kicked multiple times, not quite sure what happened there. Eventually, it just stopped letting me connect to users.

Mind it didn't do this in the past, just started recently. I'm going back to NY in a week, I'll try it there, and we'll see if that makes a difference.
Every single one.
