how do i connect to US EFNet server with the new mirc release. Tried following the steps but its different. no drop down list of servers. thanks!

I assume u're talking about the latest release, mIRC v6.31.



^^At the SERVERS tab, you should be able to see EFNet under IRC network. Choose any server to connect to and you're done.

you can add [ US EF NET Random Server ] to your servers. There is a key fir it in servers page. connect>>servers>>add
add the name below on the description section and add a server name in irc server name. it can be any server like easynews and etc.
