What's the Best Capture Card?

I got the money, and I want to upgrade to a new Capture Card to replace this crappy one.

It's Needs to Have:

• DVB-T HD Tuner,
• Analogue Tuner,
• S-Video,
• Hardware MPEG-2 Capture.

Plus a good brand at a good price would be nice.

Internal cards are preferred.

This way I can do the best Capping for VP for now and for a few years too.

Any Suggestions?

usb won't be able to provide you with enough speed to capture some of DVB-T transmission so internal is a must, there's no need for mpeg-2 hardware "decoder" beacuse there isn't anything like capture to my knowneldge, nowadays PC's don't have any problems to play mpeg even with highest bitrates and almost all new graphic card support mpeg playback in hardware mode (some of them h.264 aswell).
I heaven't heard too much about dvb-t cards/software so you might want to do some research to find out card that can work with some other software then producer provides (which in most cases limits it's capabilities).

I meant Hardware Encoder for Analogue Capture.

Say with Foxtel captures I think Lossless .avi is too much
Since Channel [v], [v]2, Max are 720x576i at about 4-5.5mbps
and MTV and Vh1 are 544x576i at 3-4mbps (If you're lucky :P)

So Lossless capture gives WAYYY too much data. And I'm told Hardware MPEG-2 Encoders give good results with little quality loss.

Analogue tv will always be interlaced as it's meant for standard tv's and will never be what you can compare to digital (even if the bitrate is smaller) beacuse what you caputer at with anologue is what you set it for while with dvb it caputres it at what it's broadcasted at. Hardware encoders if there is something like that will give you even worse results with analogue as the signal is changed at the station from digital to anologue(broadcasted) then recorded by you analogue->digital and encoded to mpeg and then re-encoded again ? it might be good for pvr but it won't give you great results compared to dvb

Anyway I'm looking at this card a Leadtek PxDVR3200H.

about $100 Australian.
Got DVB-T Capture, Analogue Capture, S-video In, Component In, and it's PCI-e so should be quick.

I think that should suit all the needs i have.
Any thoughts about that card Serch?
